Lent Course 2019
The Passion through the Arts
During Lent you are invited to join a 5-week course that will explore the Passion. Following a suggestion three years ago, we are reflecting on the Passion of Christ through different forms of art.
We are joining friends from Inkberrow and surrounding parishes on the following Wednesdays:
13th March | Film: Mary Magdalene | St Paul's Church, Cookhill |
20th March | Music: Lauretta Bloomer | All Saints' Church, Church Lench |
27th March | Dance: St Matthew's Passion (DVD) | St Paul's Church, Cookhill |
3rd April | Pictures: Pauline Bamber and Lyndall Bagnall | Church Lench Village Hall |
10th April | Reading/play: tbc | St Paul's Church, Cookhill |
We gather at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start and aim to finish by 9pm. Transport can be organised if required - please contact the Rector.
Film is the recently-released Mary Magdalene, seeing the Passion through her eyes and Music will be led by Lauretta (Bloomer) Rienstra, an international concert piano soloist. Dance will be explored via a DVD of a piece performed by professionals based on St Matthew's Passion. Pictures will be a study led by Pauline Bamber and Lyndall Bagnall and the Reading will be performed by members of the community.
Maundy Thursday Service with Handwashing
